What specialties can PrescriberPoint be used for?
What pharmaceutical brands can I find using PrescriberPoint?
PrescriberPoint includes FDA label information for all FDA-approved prescription drugs, including both branded and generic drugs. Additional product resources (e.g., copay cards, sample ordering, rep contacts) are available for some of the most commonly prescribed brands in certain therapeutic areas.
Does signing up for PrescriberPoint give pharma companies permission to contact me whenever they want?
No. You can choose to contact pharma reps, but won’t be solicited through our platform.
I currently benefit greatly from my interactions with sales reps and MSLs. Will PrescriberPoint restrict these relationships?
PrescriberPoint is an alternative option for initiating contact with reps and MSLs, and you are welcome to continue connecting with reps and MSLs through your usual channels.
What do I do if the brand I usually request samples for is not on PrescriberPoint?
You should continue to use your rep for those sample requests. You can use PrescriberPoint for other needs you may have about that drug such as searching for detailed product information, or consulting our Support Team for support around patient coverage or affordability options.
Can I use PrescriberPoint even though my hospital does not allow in-person rep visits?
Yes – PrescriberPoint is an alternative way of tapping into the resources provided by pharmaceutical manufacturers, industry-wide, in one place. Many of the resources you may need may be on our site already. We can also help you track down the resources you may need to answer your question.
I am not a prescriber, but I do manage sample orders. How can I sign up?
PrescriberPoint and their medical staff are both welcome to use the site. Encourage the physician(s) at your practice to sign up to take full advantage of PrescriberPoint features!
Do I need an account to use PrescriberPoint?
No. PrescriberPoint has many open features where resources are available without the need to create an account. In the future, we plan to create a logged-in experience where users will be able to store their activity on the site so they can repeat common activities more easily and build teams of users within their practice to collaborate more effectively.
Do I need to be a prescriber (MD, RN or other) to use the site?
No. We realize it takes often takes a team effort to get patients on-therapy. Therefore, we welcome other types of practice staff (MAs, office administrators, etc.) into our community. In fact, we are building collaboration features to help all of these types of stakeholders work better together. However, in the future, there may be some activities, such as sample ordering we may need to reserve for prescribers only and so NPI validation may be required.
