Dosing
Epidermolysis Bullosa Dystrophica, Junctional Epidermolysis Bullosa Apply a 1 mm layer to the affected wound surface only; do not rub in the gel; cover with a sterile non-adhesive wound dressing; apply with each wound dressing change until the wound is healed; topical use only, not for use on mucous membranes or eyes.
Epidermolysis Bullosa Dystrophica Applied topically to wounds once weekly; maximum weekly dose 2x10^9 PFU (1 mL) for patients under 3 years, 4x10^9 PFU (2 mL) for patients 3 years and older.

HSV-1 vector-based gene therapy that transduces keratinocytes and fibroblasts upon topical wound application, enabling transcription of the encoded human COL7A1 gene and production of type VII collagen (COL7), which assembles into anchoring fibrils that maintain dermal-epidermal integrity.
