Dosing
Rosacea Apply a thin layer to affected facial areas twice daily (morning and evening); wash hands immediately after application. Reassess if no improvement after 12 weeks. Not for oral, ophthalmic, or intravaginal use.
Rosacea Apply a pea-sized amount once daily to each of the five areas of the face (central forehead, chin, nose, each cheek) as a thin layer across the entire face, avoiding the eyes and lips; wash hands after applying.

Pharmacology
Azelaic acid is a naturally-occurring saturated dicarboxylic acid; its mechanism of action in rosacea is unknown, and its pharmacodynamics are not established.
Brimonidine is a relatively selective alpha-2 adrenergic agonist; topical application of MIRVASO topical gel may reduce facial erythema through direct vasoconstriction.
