Usage: Pitocin is indicated for initiating or improving uterine contractions to achieve vaginal delivery in medically indicated cases. It is used for labor induction due to maternal or fetal concerns, stimulation of labor, management of incomplete abortion, and to produce contractions during the third stage of labor to control postpartum hemorrhage.
