The chemical name is (S)-[3,4-difluoro-2-(2-fluoro-4-iodophenylamino)phenyl] [3-hydroxy-3-(piperidin-2-yl)azetidin-1-yl]methanone hemifumarate. It has a molecular formula C46H46F6I2N6O8 (2 C21H21F3IN3O2 ∙ C4H4O4) with a molecular mass of 1178.71 as a fumarate salt. Each 20 mg tablet contains 22 mg of cobimetinib fumarate, which corresponds to 20 mg of the cobimetinib free base.The inactive ingredients of COTELLIC are: Tablet Core: microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, magnesium stearate. Coating: polyvinyl alcohol, titanium dioxide, polyethylene glycol 3350, talc.</section>

Zelboraf is a medication that disrupts the growth and dispersion of cancerous cells in the body.

It's prescribed for treating melanoma (skin cancer) that has either metastasized or cannot be surgically removed.

Additionally, Zelboraf is employed in treating Erdheim-Chester Disease, a rare form of blood cancer.

This medicine is specifically used when your cancer shows a specific genetic marker—an abnormal "BRAF" gene. Your doctor will conduct tests to confirm this genetic marker before prescribing Zelboraf.
