Pharmacology
Testosterone is an endogenous androgen responsible for the normal growth and development of male sex organs and maintenance of secondary sex characteristics; Natesto delivers physiologic amounts of testosterone intranasally to restore deficient endogenous testosterone concentrations in hypogonadal men.
Androgen; testosterone undecanoate is a lipophilic ester of testosterone that, after oral absorption primarily via the lymphatic system (bypassing first-pass hepatic metabolism), is converted to testosterone, which is responsible for normal growth and development of male sex organs and maintenance of secondary sex characteristics.
