Pharmacology
Sulconazole nitrate is an imidazole derivative with broad-spectrum antifungal activity that inhibits the growth of common pathogenic dermatophytes including Trichophyton rubrum, Trichophyton mentagrophytes, Epidermophyton floccosum, and Microsporum canis, as well as Malassezia furfur, the organism responsible for tinea versicolor.
Luliconazole is an azole antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis by blocking lanosterol demethylase, resulting in decreased ergosterol and accumulation of lanosterol in fungal cell membranes.
