Pharmacology
Oxiconazole nitrate is an imidazole derivative antifungal whose activity is derived primarily from inhibition of ergosterol biosynthesis, which is critical for cellular membrane integrity in pathogenic fungi.
Luliconazole is an azole antifungal that inhibits ergosterol synthesis by blocking lanosterol demethylase, resulting in decreased ergosterol and accumulation of lanosterol in fungal cell membranes.
